Under the US/Israel Data Exchange Agreement for Military Medicine, the two countries exchange information on a broad array of medical research topic areas, including infectious diseases, combat casualty care (CCC), physiological stress, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and behavioral sciences, and chemical and biological defense. The PCO participated and presented two briefings on key blast injury research topics at the “2015 Shoresh Conference on Military Medicine,” in Ramat Gan, Israel. This is the primary venue for the exchange of information under the agreement. During the conference, the PCO and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified several opportunities for partnership, including the sharing of historical blast injury research data, IDF participation in State-of-the-Science meetings, and IDF participation in North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Research Task Groups (RTG).
